The need for sport, the desire for comfort and luxury, and the value of speedy and convenient transportation were important concerns to Americans of the 1920s. Chris-Craft, with its new standards of luxury and speed combined with moderate price and absolute safety, met all three needs. Chris-Crafts were easy to handle, dependable, and seaworthy. Many celebrities owned Chris-Crafts, but Chris-Craft's real bread and butter was the hopeful American middle class.
