| Staff and
Volunteers from The Mariners’ Museum can visit
your civic group, community club, or other non-profit
organization to present programs on a variety of
topics that relate to maritime history. Whether
you are interested in general information about
the history of The Mariners’ Museum, life
at sea during the Age
of Exploration, or the Civil War and
the USS Monitor, we will be glad to
bring a program to your group.
Other subjects offered include:
History
of the Chesapeake Bay
The
August Crabtree Collection of Miniature Ships
History
of the U.S. Navy
The
Age of Sail
Recovery
and Conservation of the USS Monitor Engine, Turret, and Artifacts
Don’t see a topic that fits your needs?
Give us a call or send us an email and we’ll
see if we can develop a program to meet the needs
of your organization.
There is no charge for this community service
in the Hampton Roads area. However, donations
are gratefully accepted and go to the support
of our educational mission. If your group is outside
of the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, then we
must charge a small fee for travel costs.
For more information or to schedule a presentation,
