Signal Sheet for the Channel Fleet
England, ca 1800-1803
According to Dr. Nicholas Tracy this watercolor with pen and ink is not an official document but a commemorative piece. It appears to document the Channel Fleet while it was under the command of Lord Cornwallis between June 1800 and the Peace of Amiens when the fleet was broken up.

The names of Lord St. Vincent, Vice Admiral Horatio Lord Nelson, and their distinguishing pennants are shown. The fleet itself is listed on the upper right corner, in the order of sailing with Cornwallis, as the senior officer, commanding from the centre of the center squadron.
