What is a Leadership Gift?

Leadership Gifts are contributions of $1,000 and above of cash or securities made by Museum members. These distinguished annual donors are recognized as members of The Patron Societies. It is The Patron Societies that enable the Museum to pursue its mission of promoting understanding and preservation of our nation's rich maritime heritage.

As The Mariners' Museum establishes its national stature and international influence, it needs the leadership support of those who can and do make significant gifts. Your membership in The Patron Societies of The Mariners' Museum has a far greater impact on the Museum's success than individual membership alone. It also brings unique opportunities:

• You will keep in touch with other Patron members through a series of President's Receptions. These informal gatherings are valuable opportunities to share plans for the Museum's future.
• Your membership will bring you closer to the work of the Museum through individual and group meetings and special events.

Matthew Fontaine Maury Society: $10,000 and above
$9,260 minimum tax deductible
This newest of Patron Society memberships is aptly named for Maury, the world-famous, Virginia-born naval officer known as the "Pathfinder of the Seas."
